Method 1: The String Trick (Measuring the Circumference)
This method is perfect if you don’t have a reference ring available. Follow these three steps:
- Wrap: Take a string (or a paper ribbon) and wrap it around the base of the finger you want to measure.
- Mark: With a pencil or pen, draw a line at the exact point where the two ends of the string meet.
- Measure: Unroll the string and use a ruler to measure the distance between the two marks. The value obtained in centimeters corresponds to your circumference.
Method 2: The Inner Diameter
If you already have a ring that fits you perfectly, you can measure its inner diameter. Place the ring on a ruler and count the millimeters that pass exactly through the center of the circle (excluding the metal thickness).
